Kathmandu Training Workshop for SAARC Epidemiology Networking Platform

A Training workshop was held in Kathmandu, Nepal from September 13th - 15th 2017. The purpose of the workshop was to provide training on the use of the proposed Epidemiology Networking Platform for SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) member countries.

In the workshop, the participants planned and prepared for a pilot project that will begin in October and run until the end of November 2017. During this time, participants from Bhutan and Nepal will enter and share disease Outbreak data. This will allow recommendations for continued use of the system to be made.

Nepal Requirements Workshop for SAARC Epidemiology Networking Platform

A three day workshop took place in Kathmandu, Nepal from May 25th to 27th 2017, to agree the requirements for creating the platform and mechanism to allow SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) member countries to share information relevant for TADs (Trans boundary Animal Diseases) control.

The workshop was attended by key stakeholders from RSU-SAARC (Regional Support Unit SAARC), Massey University in New Zealand, Bhutan and Nepal.
